Sick as DogsIt was another cold day where I lived. Unfortunately, I could've been doing better. A case of the common cold and sore throat left my voice really hoarse and nose stuffed up. I felt miserable, because it was really difficult for me to talk without feeling the dryness and soreness in my mouth.Sick as Dogs by Montyclan
Me: *groans as I get up from my bed* "I guess I better make lunch."
I had home-style chicken noodle soup and crackers for lunch. Even though the soup wasn't the cure, It helped clear the phlegm and sinuses.
Me: *sniffs and tastes the soup* "Mmm, that's good soup."
After lunch, I cleaned up the bowl and ran the dishwasher. Suddenly, I heard a knock on my door.
Me: "Now who could that be?"
After leading my dogs into the kitchen, I opened the door to see Zeneth. But his body was a shade of light blue and was covered in a thick jacket.
Me: *shocked* "Zeneth, what happened to you?!"
Zeneth: *sniffs stuffily* "I have a cold."
Me: "I can see that. But why are you blue?"
Give Me a P, a K, and What Does That Stand For?!It was a chilly Saturday morning where I lived. My brother was at college, my parents were in class, and I was working on one of my research papers. I was making good progress, until I heard someone's voice.Give Me a P, a K, and What Does That Stand For?! by Montyclan
?: *from a distance away* "Come on, you. Think!"
Me: *pokes my head out the window* "Hmm, that voice doesn't belong to one of the rubber girls. I'd better check it out. (Takes a look back at my research papers) I'm going to work on you when I get back." *opens the door and heads to find the voice*
The voice became louder as I got closer to it.
Me: *thinking* "It must be coming from the park."
Once I was at the park, I finally knew what was causing that disturbance. There was a girl moving around. She had purple hair, a red and blue cheerleader's outfit with a 10 on it, and white shoes. However, she looked frustrated with something.
I decided to go up to her and ask what is bothering her.
Me: "Excuse me, ma'am. I
A Helping HandChristmas decorating was already in order in my household. It was time for the decorations and wreaths to be put on the windows outside. I thought that I could take care of the wreaths to give my father a rest. So after lunch, I decided to bring up the wreaths to the garage.A Helping Hand by Montyclan
Me: *takes a deep breath before going into the basement* "Show time!"
Once I got the wreaths out of the basement and into the garage, I noticed my parents coming down the stairs.
Me: "Where are you going?"
Dad: "Your mom and I are running a few errands and will be gone for a while. We'll start decorating when we get back. Hopefully Tim will take a break from writing his paper."
Me: "Okay, I'm sure he will. He has to help."
Of course, I was planning to give my dad a break from decorating the house this year and I wanted to keep it a secret.
Dad: *notices the wreaths in the garage* "Bob, why are the wreaths in the garage?"
Me: "Oh, I just brought them up to make sure
